Riyadh to host latest edition of Modest Fashion Week, December 15–17

Modest Fashion Week will hit Riyadh this month, running from December 15 to 17 at the iconic Al Faisaliah Hotel. Lucire KSA is privileged to be a media partner for the latest edition of this global event, led by CEO Özlem Şahin Ertaş.
Previous Modest Fashion Weeks have been held in London, Dubai, Ístanbul, Amsterdam and Jakarta, with eight editions over seven years.
The theme this year is Roots to the Future, inspired by the KSA’s Vision 2030 programme. As explained by Ertaş, ‘For shaping the future, we have all the values that come from our very own roots, and it is time to be the pioneers also in the fashion industry with inclusive, innovative and global approach. We aim to highlight the city of Riyadh as one of the fashion capitals of the world and we believe Saudi Arabia will be a great home for all modest fashion lovers. There are amazing designers and talents in the region that we will focus on and Riyadh Modest Fashion Show will be an asset for their global journey.’
Other partners include Al Jazirah Vehicles as a platinum sponsor, who will showcase the new Ford Territory, aimed at female buyers in the KSA.
KSA-based Kaiane Designs, featured in Lucire KSA, will present a special capsule collection, as will Miha (Turkey), Sultana R. (France), Sawsan Design (Palestine), Talabaya (Czech Republic), Kisva (Kazakhstan), Marina (Turkey), HK Design (Egypt), and Rabail Riyaz (UAE).
The catwalk will feature the KSA’s the String Story, Foulard (featured in Lucire KSA in 2019), Kaafmeem and Blooming, and the UAE’s Lara Ali and Lara Active, who will showcase the latest, in-trend abayas and kaftans. Imannoor and Limonette (Turkey), Rossanabrand (Italy), Soumaya Beaudin (France), Daska (United (Kingdom) and Nofadeen (USA) will show sustainable modest lines and accessories. And Younass Design (Nigeria), Hijab Boutique (Egypt), Lacavalierelegante (Morocco) and Eiman Design (Sudan) mix African and Middle Eastern cultures, while Innersejuk (Malaysia) and MTM Design (Kosovo) will focus on colours and prints.
